Le programme de la Gamescom se dessine : deux streams ont été datés [VIDEO]

Gamescom, or European E3 on the Old Continent, is slowly getting its dates for some broadcasts. We nailed two of them.

Let’s start with the biggest fish: Microsoft has announced via their Xbox site that their Gamescom broadcast will take place on August 24 (one day before the official opening night!) at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern. It will feature “in-depth updates from some of our previously announced Xbox Game Studios titles, as well as some of our third-party partners, including some of the incredible titles coming to Xbox this holiday season, upcoming releases from our monthly subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, and more.”

They’re gearing up for the October-December quarter, or the holiday season if you prefer. Shawn Layden, a former Sony executive, is still not convinced of the success of the Xbox Game Pass model, as we previously reported. You can follow the Xbox Gamescom stream on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Gaming, Twitter, VK (Russia’s equivalent of Facebook), Bilibili (China’s replacement for YouTube), and many more. Bethesda Softworks’ German branch will also host a multi-day live streaming programme from 26 August. You can watch it on Twitch.

In addition, GamesRadar announced that it will host the Future Games Show: Gamescom 2021 on August 26 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific/4:00 p.m. Eastern. The show will be hosted by Resident Evil: Village voice actors Maggie Robertson and Aaron LaPlante. It will feature over 40 games from publishers including Frontier Developments, Koch Media, Team17 and Tripwire Interactive, including “a few surprises.”

You can watch the broadcast on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, and Twitter. The site also made a teaser which you can watch below.

This year’s E3 was not a big deal, as the effects of the global coronavirus pandemic are starting to take their toll on the gaming industry. So there are plenty of delays in 2022 (and that list is bound to grow, don’t even think about it).

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
