Les nominations aux BAFTA Games Awards 2022 ont été annoncées. Returnal et It Takes Two sont en tête avec huit nominations chacun.
Ratchet & Clank : Rift Apart a obtenu sept nominations, tandis que Forza Horizon 5 et Psychonauts 2 en ont obtenu six.
Dans la catégorie Jeu EE de l’année, la seule catégorie soumise au vote du public, le scrutin est désormais ouvert avec Chicory : A Colorful Tale, tandis que DEATHLOOP, The Forgotten City, It Takes Two, Metroid Dread et Unpacking ont également été retenus.

Lors des BAFTA Game Awards 2021, Hades a dominé l’événement, remportant 5 prix, dont celui du jeu de l’année.
Avec un nombre record de votes, The Last of Us Part II a également remporté le prix EE du jeu de l’année.
Ailleurs, le titre d’horreur Carrion de Phobia Game Studio a été nommé Meilleur début, Ghost of Tsushima a remporté le prix de la réalisation audio, Marvel’s Spider-Man : Miles Morales a remporté le prix de la musique, Kentucky Route Zero : TV Edition a remporté le prix de la propriété originale et Sea of Thieves a remporté le prix du jeu évolutif.
Dreams, de Media Molecule, a remporté le prix de la réalisation technique, tandis que la directrice du studio, Siobhan Reddy, a reçu la plus haute distinction de la BAFTA, le Fellowship, pour son travail de pionnière en matière de diversité et de culture créative.
