Sales of Nintendo’s 2017 console have been a little slow in the first quarter of the year, but we’ve found out how the Switch’s “in-house” top 10 is shaping up alongside recently released exclusive titles.
Yesterday, we mentioned that 141.32 million Nintendo Switch units had been sold by March 31. In the first quarter, that number increased by 1.96 million. 35.72 million games were sold in the first three months of 2024, bringing the total to 1,235.82 million, so an average of 8.74 games have been sold per console since March 2017. The top 10 best-selling first-party Switch titles are as follows:

It was a trusted Brazilian journalist, PH, who first spoke about the company delaying the Switch successor to 2025. Now he claims that the console is coming in March, which we recently heard from Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa that they will launch the new platform in the fiscal year that started on April 1. Plans are reportedly unchanged, but PH says we can expect a reveal in the fall and a full unveiling in January. That’s roughly the same timeline the platform is following that the Switch used back in the day. The Nintendo Direct in June will be the last big hurrah for the Switch, with several remasters being shown off and Metroid Prime 4 finally being seen, supposedly coming out at the end of the year. After the June Direct, there will be an Indie World show in August and maybe a Partner Direct. This could even coincide with the unveiling of the Switch successor.
