Il est indéniable que le jeu de Sandfall Interactive est exceptionnel, mais personne ne s’attendait vraiment à le voir récolter autant de nominations !
Les organisateurs des Game Awards ont dévoilé la liste des nommés pour l’édition 2025, sélectionnés par un jury international composé de plus de 150 rédactions et créateurs de contenu. En tête de cette sélection figure Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, avec 12 nominations, suivi par Death Stranding 2: On the Beach et Ghost of Yotei avec huit nominations chacun, Hades II avec six, Hollow Knight: Silksong avec cinq et Split Fiction avec quatre. Du côté des éditeurs, Sony Interactive Entertainment arrive en première position avec 19 nominations, devant Kepler Interactive (13 nominations), puis Electronic Arts et Microsoft avec 10 nominations chacun.
Les joueurs peuvent dès à présent voter dans chaque catégorie sur le site officiel (https://www.thegameawards.com/nominees/) via un système de vote en ligne vérifié. Les votes se clôtureront le 11 décembre à 3 heures du matin (heure d’Europe centrale). Les Game Awards 2025 seront ensuite diffusés en direct le lendemain depuis le Peacock Theater de Los Angeles, en Californie, avec des remises de prix, des annonces en avant-première mondiale, de nouveaux trailers, ainsi que des performances musicales assurées par le Game Awards Orchestra dirigé par Lorne Balfe et d’autres surprises.
