Konami says Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater surpassed one million on day one.
On its August 28 launch day, combined shipments and digital sales across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC topped one million. Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater is a full remake of 2004’s Metal Gear Solid 3, retaining the gripping story and world while delivering all-new visuals and 3D audio to heighten the jungle atmosphere.
Beyond the visual overhaul, the upgraded battle-damage system reflects clothing wear, bruises, and bullet wounds in real time—leaving permanent marks that narrate each player’s unique journey. Players can opt for a newly added, modern control style focused on immersion, or stick with classic controls to recapture the original feel.
Additional modes: Snake vs. Monkey (PS5 & PC) has you rounding up rampaging apes stage-by-stage; on Xbox Series, Snake vs. Bomberman brings a special crossover side mode. Arriving this fall, Fox Hunt is a brand-new online multiplayer mode set in the main story’s world, blending stealth and survival for hide-and-seek, cat-and-mouse encounters. The Secret Theater returns with 8mm reels carried by enemy soldiers that unlock humorous scenes—both classic and newly produced—while Guy Savage Δ revives the infamous nightmare sequence in a fully reimagined form with PlatinumGames. The nightmare can trigger during the story or be unlocked as a post-clear bonus.
