The family animation “The Scentsy Diary” has been leading the American film field for the second week. It has a good chance of reaching the 80 million dollar revenue it is aiming for overseas, and according to estimates, it could earn another 100 million in the international market, so the production made from 40 million will rightly call itself a successful venture.
According to critics, “The Scentsy Diary” is perfect entertainment for children of all ages with the amazing adventures of the heroes, while adults can be amused by the slightly absurd humor, and everyone’s common happiness is the crazy energy of the film that permeates every scene.
The basic idea of the film, based on the incredibly popular comics by Dav Pilkey, is like a new, slightly cheesy version of Robot Cop. A police officer and his loyal dog are fatally injured in an explosion, and the resourceful team of doctors assembles a half-cop, half-dog inspector from their still functioning organs: this is Szimat, who will finally bring order to the city.
The film has an 80 percent rating on the RottenTomatoes review portal, and based on the audience votes, it has a higher rating of 84 percent.
