The New Ways to Play video shows how CD Projekt RED’s game can be played with new approaches.
In addition to the Phantom Liberty expansion, the video covers new gameplay features in the free 2.0 update. The Relic skill tree offers robust abilities that allow you to master new playstyles and create unique builds. Phantom Liberty also adds a new location, Dogtown. Here, you’ll discover endless dynamic events and missions, action-packed action, new clothing, weapons, cyber tools, and more.
The video also highlighted the Cyberpunk 2077 game’s redesigned perk system, showcasing some brand-new perks that offer more impactful options and the chance to defeat enemies in exciting, original ways. Enemy AI in combat will also be improved, making combat more dynamic and intuitive. The new police system has also been introduced: their AI has been improved, so the NCPD will react to us more realistically and excitingly, such as setting up roadblocks or trying to run us off the road.
Driving in Night City will also be updated with the introduction of in-vehicle combat, allowing you to shoot while driving or attack enemy vehicles while in a car or on a motorbike. The redesigned skill trees, a revamped police system, and in-vehicle combat will all be free as part of the Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be the only expansion pack for the game. Look for it from September 26 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store). Do not look for the add-on on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; the Polish studio has already announced that it will not be made available on those platforms, so the extended, full edition of Cyberpunk 2077 (because there will be a retail version, too) will only be available for purchase on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
The ability to shoot at people from your car is a significant new feature… except that we already had that option in 2004’s Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas!
