Though still in Early Access, Steel Hunters has already won the public’s favor, judging by the response.
After a cataclysmic event, the Hunters were created by mankind to protect the collection of an alien resource vital to human survival, known as Starfall. Driven by ruthless factions, these fearsome mechanical giants have become the key to dominating the scarce resource in the ruins of a green but abandoned Earth. Discover multiple Hunter play styles and their devastating weapons, gear, mods, and abilities. Unleash raw power and annihilate your rivals. Enhance your teamwork in the hunting grounds. Mastering your Hunters’ unique abilities will keep you alive, but it’s the perfect team synergy that will ensure a victorious extraction. Quick reflexes alone won’t be enough. Instead, sound tactics will pave your way to extraction with Starfall.
Each Hunter favors a distinct play style and has a unique progression system, making them a true threat in battle. Collect boosters and equipment to give you the edge over your rivals. Take control of an unstoppable machine. Break through buildings to ambush your opponents or use structures as cover until they collapse under enemy fire. Traverse the land in pursuit of dynamic objectives with multiple player-versus-environment encounters. Just remember, if you’re not hunting, you’re being hunted.
According to Wargaming, the Early Access version offers a polished core of Steel Hunters, including basic game mechanics, maps, hunters, and progression systems. The full version will include more content, improved quality of life features and progression options, as well as polished mechanics based on community feedback. Elinte will not include monetization so that the developers can focus on refining the gameplay and will be introduced gradually over time.
Although reviews have not been overwhelmingly positive, the release of the free-to-play game is supported by many on Steam.
